A new study released Monday shows that about half of American's with some kind of college degree are overqualified for their jobs.

And, this trend is not going anywhere. More and more people are choosing to get an education after high school because of the tight job market. When those people graduate there still are not many jobs available. Therefore many of those graduates have to take jobs for which they are overqualified.

One of the most staggering statistics show that many of the recent grads have found themselves in the retail business. About 25% of all retail sales workers are grads with a bachelor's degree or better.
