With all the bad news going in the world today it's nice to hear something like this.

After finding out that a toy store in New York was going out of business, Carol Suchman, wanted to help out in some way, reports the Huffington Post. When she saw that the shop was still filled with toys, she contacted the store's owner and negotiated with him to buy everything.

She then donated all of the toys to the New York City Department of Homeless Services.

Volunteers from the organization helped Suchman organize and bag up the toys for distribution in shelters across the city."

It's good to know that thousands of kids will have something to open this Christmas.
