If you’ve been thinking about adopting a cat, now is the time! The Kent County Animal Shelter is dropping their adoption fees as the cat population has grown at the shelter.

Starting Wednesday 7/20, through the close of business Friday 7/22, cats 4 months old or older can be adopted for free at the shelter. Kittens will be half price, making the adoption cost only $20. All the cats available for adoption have been spayed or neutered, they are current on their vaccinations and have been tested for feline leukemia and FIV. They’ve also been micro-chipped as well.

All you need to adopt one of the cats is to fill out an adoption form and show a photo id with your current address. If you want to adopt a cat for your family, stop by the Kent County Animal Shelter at 740 Fuller Ave NE. The shelter is open weekdays from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 2 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
