One airline is actually taking your weight and charging you to fly by the pound.

It almost seems like an April Fool's joke that came out a little late. However, Samoa air is saying it's really no joke. They have started to charge passengers as much as $4.16 for each pound of body weight and luggage to fly on their airplanes.

Unfortunately, this will become a trend. As fuel prices continue to fluctuate this is a really great way for the airlines to get an extra few bucks out of us. However if fuel goes down then they can charge less by pound and we could save a few dollars.

What do you think? Fair? Unfair?
