While Grand Rapids continues to get praise for the many things the city has to offer, a city a mere hour and forty-five minutes from here isn't so lucky. Albion, Michigan has been named by the Princeton Review as one of the worst college towns in America.

Home to Albion College, a small liberal arts college tied to the Methodist church, the city is home to less that 9,000 people (according to the 2010 census). And that is literally all I know about Albion. What makes it such a terrible college town? I'm not sure. It looks like there is a decent array of restaurants, bars, and coffee shops in town, so that can't be the problem. They have a bowling alley, if that's what you're in to.

Frankly, Albion looks like a perfectly lovely little town, from the pictures I was able to find.

The Princeton Review can suck it.
