UPDATE (11:20 a.m.): The child has been found safe.

An AMBER ALERT has been issued for 20-month-old Jaionna Jayzlyn Ross.

She is described as a black female, and was last seen wearing a pink shirt, blue shorts and clear sandals with purple flowers on them. Jaionna's hair is in 5 or 6 ponytails with black rubber bands. She's approximately 30 inches tall and wights approximately 25 pounds.

Police say that the girl is with someone named "Terrell", and black male who is described as being 5'8" tall with a medium build. He has facial hair on his chin, and his hair is in braids. He is also said to be missing a tooth on his upper left side. He was last seen wearing a white t-shirt, black jeans, and black or gray shoes.

According to police, the girl's mother had her at a gas station near 44th St. and Kalamazoo Ave. early Sunday morning. She exited her vehicle and when toward the store when "Terrell" (who was in the vehicle with the girl and her mother) drove off.

The car was found a short distance away by GRPD. It was empty and a car seat was found inside the vehicle, with no sign of the girl.
