There was a lot of commotion downtown this morning, and right across the street from our studios. A car burst into flames in the Ottawa-Fulton parking ramp on level G.

I haven't played "Johnny reporter" for many, many years, but I ran over there to try to capture what was happening.

The 'top-drawer' Grand Rapids Fire Department was on the scene, and had the fire out in no time. It looked as if the damage was confined to the affected car and not surrounding vehicles, a good thing. The damage is still being estimated, but I'm sure the owner won't be driving their car anytime soon.

The GRFD was cleaning up the scene and evacuating the smoke from level G in the ramp.
