A LOT of people showed up to Rosa Parks Circle in downtown Grand Rapids on Friday, Aug. 1, to sample the Top 10 finalists in this year's Grandwich competition.

Everyone who made a $5 donation to Kids Food Basket could sample the sandwiches and vote for thePeople's Choice winner.

So... who won?

The judges John "Gonzo" Gonzalez, local chef and owner of Propaganda Donuts Torrence O'Haire,and the founder of Kids Food Basket Mary K. Hood  also tried all of the sandwiches in order to crown this year's champion.

This year's Top 10 was comprised of sandwiches from Stella's Lounge, Grand Rapids Brewing Co., Sweet Mellisa's, The B.O.B., The Bistro at Courtyard by Marriott, San Chez Bistro, Flatlander's, Hopcat, The Cheshire Grill, and Skywalk Deli.
The 2014 Grandwich Top 3 are:

1. Stella's Lounge: Nada Cubano

2. Grand Rapids Brewing Co.: Wake-N-Bacon

3. Skywalk Deli: Fresh Start

This year's People's Choice winner was The Mafioso from Sweet Mellisa's Cafe.

The Nada Cubano's is described as, "Roasted Michigan turkey, crisp pork belly, Ingraberg Farms apple slaw with 'Famous Kream, Ingraberg Farms fried green tomatoes, Brownwood Farms mustard, Michigan cherry-blackberry-raspberry jam, and brie cheese on a pretzel hoagie from Nantucket Bakery."
