We are only a decade away from talking with our pet thanks to new technology!

A professor at Northern Arizona University has been working feverishly to make talking to pets a reality! He's been working on a device that translates prairie dog barks into human speak and he's pretty darn close to cracking the code.

Once this technology becomes available we'll be able to know what our pet is trying to say. Which is pretty easy to guess already however, wouldn't it be great to know for sure?

The professor also says that within the next decade the technology should be able to decode almost any animal. So any animal from a dog to a cow or a giraffe would be able to be communicated with.

He began constructing the device when he learned how many dogs are euthanized every year due to behavior problems. He hopes that this device would eliminate that and open the lines of communication between human and dog.
