A Grand Rapids girl was forced into prostitution at age 15 and spent 20 years trapped in that life. Today, she is helping others in Grand Rapids escape from human trafficking.

Some Angels Fight is a short film produced by Baas Creative and entered into ArtPrize 10 by Mark Baas. It is a true story based in Grand Rapids.

The film tells the story of Leslie King who was molested at 8 and forced into prostitution at 15. She spent over 20 years trapped and addicted before breaking free in 2000. Once free, she forgave those involved and began fighting back.

Today, King helps others through a survivor-led outreach group she founded called Sacred Beginnings.

Some Angels Fight is part of ArtPrize On Screen. The short film will air before Bisbee '17 on Saturday, Sept. 22 at 6:30 p.m. at the 41 Sheldon Blvd SE theater.
