Several girls in Reno, Nevada were arrested in a connection with a Facebook event that one of them created invited students to "Attack A Teacher Day". The event was to take place Friday.

The girls (12 and 13 year olds) claim that the whole thing was a joke, but authorities have noted that on the same day, another teen shot two adults at his school before turning the gun on himself. The details on that story can be found here.

The Nevada Appeal in Carson City reported the girls were booked Wednesday at juvenile hall on a misdemeanor charge of communicating threats. Their names were not released.
