Awesome Games Done Quick – Watch Your Favorite Old Video Games Get Destroyed For Charity
What will you be watching this week? Most people will be saying "Playoff Football!", but not me! I'll be watching one of my favorite marathons ever, Awesome Games Done Quick!
Awesome Games Done Quick (AGDQ) is a video game marathon that helps raise money for the Prevent Cancer Foundation. The marathon mainly focuses on "speedrunning" older video games. What's speedrunning you ask?
Speedrunning is trying to complete a game as fast as possible. This will often times include the help of glitches (forcing the game to essentially break so that players can skip large sections of the game). In addition to watching players completely destroy older games like Super Mario Brothers, you can also find some amazing races between some of the best speedrunners in the world.
