Just when I thought that high-school-era me was a thing of the past, this mixtape came along and destroyed that idea in the best way possible. Captain Cuts' mixtape, If You're Reading This It's Never Too Late, features amazing mashups of modern pop tunes with the best emo songs we all listened to while crying in our rooms with the lights off.

The DJ trio of Captain Cuts (Ben Berger, Ryan McMahon, and Ryan Rabin) have put together this nearly-32-minutes-long jamfest, containing club-tested combinations of classic emo hits and modern top 40 songs. Featuring All-American Reject's "Swing Swing," Blink 182's "Adam's Song," Sum 41's "Fat Lip," and a myriad of other beloved emo tunes, paired with the likes of Selena Gomez, CHVRCHES, Drake, and others, If You're Reading This It's Never Too Late contains everything you could ever need to create the ultimate mashup.

I never thought that my modern musical tastes could reconcile my incredibly emo high school lifestyle, but it appears that I'm wonderfully mistaken. You can check out the song via Rolling Stone and Soundcloud below, and download it for free here.
