As I imagine many teen girls are, I remember being mortified when made to dance with my dad at social functions. I mean, his suit didn't even match my scrunchie! Looking back, I realize what a lucky kid I was to have my dad around to spend time with me and twirl me around a dance floor. Those memories are precious-- though at the time I would've probably thrown a fit and claimed to be dying of embarrassment-- now I wish someone had captured them on video. Lucky for Jessica Hanley, someone did just that at her bat mitzvah where she and her dad, comedian Mike Hanley, didn't just dance-- they got down!

The dance starts off sweetly with "My Girl,"  but I'm not sure the crowd is ready for what's to follow as Jessica invites her dad to dance to Whitney Houston's "I Wanna Dance With Somebody".  All the sudden the father- daughter team is taking us through dance craze history! They break out choreographed moves to "Thriller" and "The Macarena" and even "Apple Bottom Jeans" and LMFAO's "Party Rock Anthem".

My favorite has to be "Jump on it!",  in which their moves closely mimic those of Will and Carlton, who popularized the dance in an episode of The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air. Check out that vid below-- pretty accurate, right?!

And so, it being Father's Day and all,  I'd like to say "Thanks Dad!" to you papas who dance with your daughters, despite all our protests (Sorry Dad!)-- Someday we'll appreciate it!
