It's a sad day for wooden roller coaster fans.  One of the most iconic wooden coasters in the world will be giving riders their last trip this September.  After 25 years of being the tallest and fastest wooden roller coaster at Cedar Point, the Mean Streak will be closing on September 16th, 2016.  The coaster will still be turned into a haunted house for Cedar Point's Halloweekends this year, but that will be it's last hurrah.

I personally was a big fan of the Mean Streak, but that's probably because it was the first "big" roller coaster that my parents ever let me ride.  I even had a Mean Streak baseball cap I wore around!

If you haven't had a chance to take a ride on this bad boy, be sure to check out the Official Mean Streak POV Video at the top of the page!
