A Central Michigan University Basketball player had a close call over the weekend.

Northern Illinois center Pete Rakocevic dunked the ball during Saturday night's game, and as CMU forward John Simons went to inbound the ball, everyone quickly realized that the hoop was collapsing. Simons was quick enough to get out of the way, but that was a pretty close call!

A video of the incident was posted by Northern Illinois basketball team on their YouTube page.

CMU fell to NIU in that game with a score of 71-55.

Simons is a Junior at Central Michigan University, and is originally from Cadillac, Mich.
