Check Out The New Downtown Market Before It Officially Opens [Photos]

While the new Grand Rapids Downtown Market is open (they've been doing a soft opening this week), they don't officially open until September 2nd. Last night, I had a chance to attend an event there and get a feel for what the space is really like. Let me tell you, I was more than impressed. I wasn't really sure what to expect, but it reminded me very much of a smaller scale Reading Terminal Market (which happens to be one of my favorite places to go when I'm in Philadelphia). There are tons of different shops that carry everything from gourmet popcorn to fresh meat to olive oil. Trust me, this is a place that you need to check out sooner than later.
