And on it, she's returning to Grand Rapids for an Oct. 20 performance at Van Andel Arena with the talented married couple of Grammy Award-winning rock singer Pat Benatar and musician-songwriter Neil "Spyder":Giraldo. As a Channel 95.7 listener, register below for your chance to win one of five pairs of tickets to the concert.

Cher is touring to promote her new album, "Closer To The Truth." Cher's 2014 tour is titled Dressed To Kill (D2K), which is, perhaps, a hint for anyone who might mistakenly be expecting her to dress in a conservative pants suit; that's not gonna happen.

Fans at the Van Andel Arena performance 11 days before Halloween will likely hear Cher sing classics from older tunes such as "Half-Breed" through songs like "Believe" and "Turn Back Time" right up to singles from the new record like "Woman's World."

Cher has had four No. 1 singles have been 1971's "Gypsys, Tramps & Thieves," 1973's "Half-Breed" and "Dark Lady" and 1988's "Believe," but she has never had a No. 1 album.

Younger Cher fans and even her elders may not appreciate how long music lovers have been buying records and CDs with Cher singing.

In the early 1960s, Cher sang backup for famous singles like "Be My Baby" and "You've Lost That Lovin' Feeling." Years later, she married Sonny Bono and as Sonny & Cher, their fame grew fueled by songs including "I Got You Babe," "All I Ever Need Is You" and "The Beat Goes On."

With the new album -- her 25th studio album -- and current tour, Cher's music career spans more than 50 years.
