When I first caught a glimpse of this, I thought that it was an advertisement for Moulin Rouge 2 or a new Christina Aguilera album.  But on closer inspection it turned out to be a very interesting new movie starring Christina, Cher, and Kristen Bell.

I watched both the trailers, which are below, and I personally think it looks pretty good.  Take a look and tell me what you think.

Burlesque - Official Trailer 1

Burlesque - Official Trailer 2

I went to the official website burlesquethemovie.com and read a brief summary of the film.  Here is what I came across:

Ali (Christina Aguilera) is a small-town girl with a big voice who escapes hardship and an uncertain future to follow her dreams to L.A.  After stumbling upon The Burlesque Lounge, a majestic but ailing theater that is home to an inspired musical revue, Ali lands a job as a cocktail waitress from Tess (Cher), the club's proprietor and headliner.  Burlesque's outrageous costumes and bold choreography enrapture the young ingenue, who vows to perform there one day.

Soon enough, Ali builds a friendship with a featured dancer (Julianne Hough), finds an enemy in trouvled, jealous performer (Kristen Bell), and garners the affection of Jack (Cam Gigandet), a bartender and fellow musician.  With the help of a sharp-witted stage manager (Stanley Tucci), Ali makes her way from the bar to the stage.  Her spectacular voice restores The Burlesque Lounge to its former glory, though not before a charismatic entrepreneur (Eric Dane) arrives with an exciting proposal...

Burlesque opens in theatres on the 24th, just in time for Thanksgiving.  I will review it once it is released and let all of YOU know what I think.  In the meantime, let ME know what you think of the trailers and if you get a chance to see it before I do, leave a review below!
