Brigham Young University has dismissed sophomore Brandon Davies from their basketball team for violating the school's honor code by having pre-marital sex.

According to FOX News, Davies reportedly told school officials Monday about having sexual relations with his girlfriend. He was dismissed from the team for the rest of the season on Tuesday, and has been allowed to stay in school for now. His case is currently being reviewed by the school's Honor Code Office.

BYU's honor code consists of living a "chaste and virtuous life" and abstaining from premarital sex. The school is affiliated with the Church of Latter Day Saints.
