Imagine old black and white photos of Albert Einstein, Abraham Lincoln, and Union Soldiers from 1863 printed in color. These photos are incredible, I don't think I'm going too far by saying that these changed the way I perceive the past.

I don't know if I'm speaking for just myself, but does anyone else feel that disconnect between life now and photos from the past? After viewing these historical photos, with a color edit, that connection seems to be made.

The photo of Jimmy Stewart looks like a guy you might bump into downtown at the bar, Lee Harvey Oswald looks like anyone else you might see posted on a police department Facebook page, and Marilyn Monroe looks like anybody else who posts their modeling pics on their Instagram for all to see.
