Construction Expected To Shut Down Part Of Leonard St NE Next Week

Heads up if Leonard St. is in your daily commute, the City is planning to do construction along Leonard St NE between Plymouth and Maryland Ave.

Monday, October 24^th, they’ll take Leonard St down to one lane in each direction and shift the lanes to the south side of the street. On Wednesday they’ll shut the entire street down through the weekend.  The construction is to connect the Kids Food Basket new location, on Leonard St NE, to city water.

Officials hope to have the street reopened one lane each direction by Monday, October 29^th, and say that all road and utility construction will be wrapped up before the morning rush hour on Monday, November 5th.

Detours during the project are Plymouth Ave. NE or Maryland Ave. NE to Oak Industrial Drive NE.
