The food scene continues to expand in Grand Rapids.

The GRBJ reports that the grand opening of Danzón Cubano is scheduled for Friday, the 26th. The new restaurant is located in the Fulton Sq. Development, in Eastown.

The food will consist of staples found in the Cuban culture such as croquettes, empanadas, plantain bowls and sandwiches. In addition to delicious food, Danzón Cubano will also feature salsa dancing (including lessons) and live music.

According to the website, there will be food and drink specials will be offered throughout the day during the grand opening and anyone who spends $50+ will receive a $10 gift card. You can get more info about the grand opening here.

This will be the first full-service restaurant in the Grand Rapids area to offer authentic "street" Cuban food.
