He says he thinks she was never in any danger.

With all of the flooding that has been happening in Grand Rapids, many have been flocking to the river to see it high above its normal level.

Hans Jansma and his daughter were among those that wanted to see the water at its high levels. So, they set out to have what dad called a little "adventure".

When they arrived at the blue bridge to see the water levels the little girl asked if she could go out onto some piling beyond the safety of the bridge. Dad said yes and tied a 'safety rope' around the little girl and let her play.

Workers near by yelled to the dad to bring her back up on the bridge and she climbed back up a few minutes later.

Wood TV was able to speak with the dad who said "My child was safe, and my child has never been injured in my care and, she never will be."
