A Michigan family is livid after a deceased family member was sent a bill for his own body removal.

You can't make this up. The 64-year-old was billed $500 from the Mackinaw City Fire Department after a car accident that killed him.

Carl Norman Little was driving southbound on I-75, he lost control of his car near Mackinaw City, and, sadly, was pronounced dead at the scene. Shocked, his step-daughter, Rebecca Beck, got the bill in the mail.

"They billed my dad knowing that he was dead, because they removed his corpse and they sent it to him. And frankly, I just couldn't believe it."

-Rebecca Beck told UpNorth Live

How did this happen? The village manager said the bill was supposed to be sent to Carl's insurance company, not his address. He assured the family this would never happen again.

At this point the image of the bill that Beck snapped has gone viral, with well over 18,000 shares on Facebook. She also 'shared' it with the insurance company, you know, the company that should have received this bill in the first place.
