Doctor Watching HGTV Spots Cancer On Show Guest

An ear nose and throat doctor is being held a hero because of his actions. Dr. Erich Voigt, a New York based ear nose and throat surgeon was watching HGTV's "Beachfront Bargain Hunt" when he noticed a lump on the neck of a woman on the show.

Voigt knew immediately it needed medical attention and went to Facebook to track down the woman. Eventually he was able to get in contact with Nicole McGuinness of North Carolina. McGuinness was already a brain cancer survivor but she and her doctors didn't notice the small lump on her neck.

Thanks to Voigt's efforts, she has been diagnosed and is now being treated for thyroid cancer. The two are meeting on Good Morning America this morning. McGuinness is obviously very grateful for the great actions of Voigt.
