Drake Reunites With His ‘Degrassi’ Co-Stars
It feels like it's been a lifetime since Drake was nothing more than the world's biggest Aaliyah stan and a moderately popular Canadian actor named Aubrey Graham, who starred as Jimmy Brooks on the hit teen soap opera Degrassi: The Next Generation. But now he's an immensely popular and sensitive rapper, and while this may cause many stars to blacklist their past and leave those embarrassing beginnings behind, Drake refuses to forget his roots. His latest callback to his past comes to us in the form of a long-awaited Degrassi reunion. Well, sort of.
Drake took a photo with his former co-stars Daniel Clark, Adamo Ruggiero and Lauren Collins while in Toronto for the premiere of the web comedy series We Are Disorderly. The official Degrassi Instagram managed to snap a few shots of the group, one of which you can check out above.
Just in case you're wondering why Drake was in Toronto in the first place (aside from his being, you know, Canadian), we'll fill you in. Drake was performing at the OVO Festival, where his beef with Nicki Minaj's boyfriend Meek Mill skyrocketed to embarrassing levels of mediocrity (at least this is true on Meek's part) when Meek released a supremely underwhelming diss track against Drake. It was not great.
You can check out a whole bunch of photos of Drake and his Degrassi friends over on the official Degrassi Instagram. And if you want to find out what the cast of Degrassi is up to nowadays, feel free to check out our Degrassi: Then and Now.
