Driver Who Hit Moped on Friday Turns Himself In Sat AM

WOODTV reports police now have a suspect in custody for the hit and run accident that occurred Friday morning on Hall Street SE and Eastern Ave SE involving a 33-year-old man on a moped.

The driver of the vehicle that hit the moped and then fled turned himself into the Grand Rapids Police Department around 9 am Saturday morning according to WOODTV.

The injured moped driver ended up passing away because of his injuries, Saturday night.

WOODTV says prosecutors are finalizing charges and identities will be made public after the victims family is notified.
