According to the United States Department of Agriculture, more than 60,000 pounds of this popular food item have been recalled.

What Dumplings Were Recalled at Trader Joe's?

According to reports, more than 61,000 pounds of steamed chicken soup dumplings sold at Trader Joe's are being recalled for possibly containing hard plastic.

They say the hard plastic found in the contaminated food came from a plastic marker. While it's not likely you'll find any of it in your personal package, they are still recalling all potentially contaminated packages to protect you from having a more colorful snack than you intended.

What should you look for? The packages being recalled are 6-ounce Trader Joe's Steamed Chicken Soup Dumplings that were produced on Dec. 7, 2023. They can be identified on their side box labels with lot codes 03.07.25.C1-1 and 03.07.25.C1-2.

If you have one of these you can either discard it, or return it to the store you purchased it from for a full refund or exchange. Thankfully as of now, no related illnesses or injures have been reported but that doesn't mean you shouldn't take this recall seriously if it effects you.
