American Heart Association – 2013 Heart Ball

The 2013 Grand Rapids Heart Ball will be taking place Tuesday, June 4, 2013 at the JW Marriott in Downtown Grand Rapids.

Attendees will enjoy a Wine Tasting and Silent Auction beginning at 5:30pm, with dinner and a presentation program starting at 7pm.

Susan Ford Bales, daughter of President Gerald R. Ford and Mrs. Betty Ford, will be the guest speaker for the Grand Rapids Heart Ball. This year, we are pleased to honor Dr. Asghar Khaghani, lead surgeon for the Richard DeVos Heart and Lung Transplant Program through the Frederik Meijer Heart and Vascular Institute, as our honoree and recipient of the 2013 Richard M. DeVos Award. Music provided by the River City Jazz Band along with dessert after the dinner. Red ties and red dress attire is encouraged.  Over the past 16 years, the Grand Rapids Heart Ball has raised over $4 million for heart and stroke research and community education programs in West Michigan.
