If there's one thing I know and know well ... finding a new job is as stressful, if not more stressful than having one!

Having been on both sides of the fence, I can attest to the fact that being employed has its stresses in that you want to continue exceling and doing well for your company.

When I was out of a job, I had to figure out what areas I needed to brush up on -- like computer skills -- and take the necessary time to take a couple of refresher courses.   Then, and only then, I could get back on my feet and start looking for another job!  Whew, talk about frustrating setbacks.  Plus, there's the concern about paying bills on a tight budget, if any!

Enough about me and onto survey details I found to share with you.  According to a New York television station, 90% of those polled said that looking for a new gig is more stressful than planning a wedding.  80% agreed that it's harder than moving or welcoming a new child into the family, and 31% said that finding a job is more stressful than grieving through a family death.

With that said ... don't give up, just brush-up and pursue your dream job today!  You can do it and I'd love to encourage you along the way.  Leave your comments below or e-mail me at sabrina.fairchild@townsquaremedia.com.
