Tomorrow is #GivingTuesday, which if you’re thinking “what the hell is giving Tuesday?” Well, it’s fairly new, but it’s the Tuesday after Thanksgiving, Black Friday, Small Business Saturday and Cyber Monday and it really kicks off the holiday giving season.

A lot of non-profits are posting about contribution campaigns. One that I’m personally involved with, and I’d like to invite you to, is the Grand Rapids Pride Center’s "Prides-Giving".

It’s a low key, casual night, where you can network with others who are interested in the work the G.R. Pride Center is doing and learn more about what’s coming up; as well as helping donate to the work being done. It’s also a rare time to enjoy cocktails and appetizers in the Zeppelin bar and lounge upstairs at The Knickerbocker.

If giving back just because isn’t enough… no worries, they’ll also be raffling off some “night on the town” packages, including a night out to see Kelly Clarkson in February at Van Andel.

The event runs upstairs from 5-8pm with a $5 suggested donation, all, of course, going back to the Grand Rapids Pride Center.

The Grand Rapid Pride Center at 343 Atlas Ave SE, currently facilitates 9 social and support groups.  In 2018, they've hosted 96 youth and young adult groups with 1,439 young people served.  The G.R.P.C. also hosted numerous health events and sensitivity & inclusion training, as well as the Grand Rapids Pride Festival with11,500  festival attendees this year.
