Today is National Drug Take Back Day.  The day is meant to highlight the need to properly dispose of prescription drugs.  The cities of Holland and Wyoming are among those accepting the drop-off of old prescription drugs for proper disposal.

WZZM reports:

Growing concern over pharmaceutical pollution in waterways has led cities like Wyoming to participate in programs like the take back day for a third time.

Residents are asked to drop off any unused prescription drugs at the Wyoming Police Department between 10 a.m ad 2 p.m

Local pharmacies are also taking part.

People can do the same in Holland from 10 to two p-m.

The dropoff is at the Holland Department of Public Safety at 89 West 8th street in downtown Holland.
