How We Spend Our Tax Refunds

The average tax refund is about $2,800. How will you spend yours?

Capital One took a survey to find out how people spend their tax refunds. Surprisingly most of us keep it pretty boring.

About 30% of us will use it on everyday expenses like debt paying, bill paying, saving and other daily expenses.

23% of us will use it to treat ourselves to a nice vacation.

16% will go out on a shopping spree to get clothes, shoes and accessories.

15% will purchase a large electronic item like a TV, iPad or phone.

The biggest stat is that 35% plan to spend the money in only one category and that they plan on spending every last penny. None of the money will get saved.
