As happy as we are this past weekend's 'Empty the Shelter' was a huge success, it wasn't much of one for this cute dog who was the only one left at a Humane Society in Northern Michigan.

Little Traverse Bay Humane Society, in Harbor Springs, posted on their website that 1-½-year-old Eastwood was the ONLY one left after the adoption event. Eastwood is a Retriever/Labrador Mix who was found as a stray, in the cold! He was born with an eye defect which causes him to have limited vision and he also has a genetic deformity on his back leg. Are you crying yet? However, his vision is improving and he gets by with his leg.

Eastwood is looking for a home, as he hasn't had one before, and is just looking for someone to love him back. *wipes tear* Even better, Eastwood is great with people, kids, other dogs and cats! So he's pretty much the perfect dog.

You can fill out an application here if you're interested in opening up your (now broken) heart to Eastwood.

The Humane Society did post on their Facebook page that if you are serious about adopting Eastwood, its important to keep in mind that it's likely he'll need surgery on his leg in the future, which can get costly.

JUST LOOK AT THIS FACE!
