Plans are being finalized to build an inflatable water park with slides, trampolines and more along a Lake Michigan beach.

The park will be open to all ages.

NWITimes.com says the water park will be built by Wibit, a German company with similar water parks all over the world including across the U.S. and in Switzerland, England, Uruguay, Dubai and dozens of other locations.

The Lake Michigan water park is being planned for Whihala Beach in Indiana near the border with Illinois.

If approved by the Indiana DNR, the water park could open by June. It would be big enough for over 100 people at a time. The park would be open for about eight weeks each summer and charge $10 - $12 for a day pass.

Sounds like a good addition to a summer weekend road trip to Chicago. Although if your kids plan the trip it might be your only stop.
