Jazz Restaurant Could be Coming to Grand Rapids

What kind of restaurants do you want to see come to Grand Rapids in 2017?

If jazz is your thing, here's some good news: a casual restaurant with jazz, rhythm and blues is being proposed at 2130 Plainfield Ave.

The Grand Rapids Business Journal reports that the proposal is headed to the Grand Rapids Planning Commision on Feb. 9.

The restaurant is expected to serve small plates. There would be seating for 50 inside and 30 in an outdoor area.

Three 400-square-foot-apartments are being proposed for the second floor of the restaurant.
