Justin Verlander’s Fastball Flakes And 5 Other Cereals We’d Like To See

Simple oatmeal and corn flakes just aren't good enough for breakfast anymore...well, actually they are, but only if you put a catchy name on them like "Fastball Flakes".

Fastball Flakes, featuring Detroit Tiger Justin Verlander, were introduced last week. All money raised from sales will go to the John D. Dingell VA Medical Center in Detroit and the VA Ann Arbor Healthcare System.

This is a good start, but who knows? It could just be the beginning of a wave of Michigan-themed breakfast cereals.

Five Cereals That Are A Little Less Likely To Show Up On Store Shelves:

Amway Flakes: pyramid-shaped flakes dusted with golden sugar
gr hOOps: orange O's (no longer in production)
Katy Perry Krunch: available everywhere except Grand Rapids
Orange Barrel Bran: a summertime favorite, loaded with fiber, prevents backups
Republicrat Corn Puffs: mitten-shaped corn cereal, red on one side and blue on the other

Just lost my appetite.
