Would you know what to do if you found yourself in a situation where an active shooter was present? Unfortunately, these are things we have to worry about nowadays so it's always good to be prepared.

Because of this, the Kent County Sherrif's Office is hosting a free training event on Wednesday, February 21 to educate people on what to do in that very scenario. According to the Facebook event page, attendees will receive

...strategies, guidance, and a proven plan for surviving an active shooter event.

C.R.A.S.E (Civilian Response to Active Shooter Events) will be held at the Plainfield Township Hall, in Belmont, from 6p-7p. If interested, RSVP by calling (616) 632-6228.
