Kielbasa Idol Returning To Grand Rapids

Last year, Kielbasa Idol debuted in Grand Rapids.  Over 700 people enjoyed 5,000 samples at the inaugural event.  That's over 500 pounds of kielbasa.

This year's Kielbasa Idol expects to be even larger, while raising money for Steepletown Neighborhood Services to help assist with educational support, youth camps, and more.

In 2011, Kielbasa Idol produced two winners.  The Judge's Choice winner was Plumb's on 4 Mile and the People's Choice winner was Frank's Market.  Help select 2012's winner on Saturday, May 5 at Fifth Street Hall.

The event runs from 5:00pm to 8:00pm, although the party will run much later.  $5 gets you samples and a vote for your favorite kielbasa for the People's Choice Award.

Markets scheduled to appear include:  Delski's Meats, Dick's Food Market, Duthler Family Foods, Frank's Market, Kingma's Market, Lewandoski's Market, Plumb's Valu-Rite Foods, PORT 72 Fresh Market, Ralph's Market, Sobie Meats, and 20th Century Market.
