Sad news for chocolate and fudge lovers in Grand Rapids.

After six years, Kilwins, located in the McKay Tower in Downtown G.R., has closed their doors. WOOD-TV says the

franchise owner was not paying suppliers or royalties...

According to MLive the owner sold back the property to corporate so the future of Kilwins may not see its demise in Downtown Grand Rapids.

However, on the company's website the downtown location has been removed from the list. But if you really need to take care of that chocolate fix, Kilwins has five other locations in West Michigan (Grand Rapids, Grandville, Holland, Grand Haven, and Saugatuck).

In addition to fudge, Kilwins also sells ice cream, apples and other sweets.
