Kmart to Close 7 Michigan Stores By Year’s End

I didn’t realize there were still 64 Kmart stores still open to close, but according to USA Today and Business Insider, they will close 64 stores by mid-December.

The closings are across 28 states and will result in thousands of employees losing their jobs.

7 stores in Michigan are a part of the 64 closings including ,Kmart store #7205 in Grand Rapids and Kmart store #4851 in Byron Center along with stores in Jackson, Fenton, Manistee, Alpena and Sault Saint Marie.

The company will start liquidation sales in the affected stores starting on September 22.
