After weeks of conflicting stories, producers confirmed yesterday that Lindsay Lohan will indeed appear in the upcoming John Gotti biopic, starring John Travolta.

However, despite previous reports, the troubled actress will not be playing the famous mob boss' daughter, Victoria. Instead, she'll play Kimberly Gotti, the wife of John Gotti Jr., according to the Wrap.

Lohan is reportedly signed for a two-picture deal. The other movie, 'Mob Street,' is currently being written by Oscar-nominated actor Chazz Palminteri.

Yesterday's deal is especially surprising, considering that hours before it was announced, producer Mark Fiore said that talks were off.

"It was over," said Steve Honig, a rep for Fiore. "But Lindsay wanted to do this film so bad that she interceded, and she called up her managers and she got everything going again and singlehandedly got everything going again."

Given Lohan's tumultuous career, this all seems rather fitting.
