That’s right, eating crickets and other bugs can improve your health, and there’s a study from the University of Wisconsin-Madison that will prove it.

Valerie Stull of the University has been eating bugs since a vacation to Central America when she was a kid. She was out to prove that bugs helped your health so she did a study to prove just that.

Her study observed 20 men and women who ate muffins or shakes containing 25 grams of cricket protein each day for breakfast. Stool and blood samples were analyzed and the results were good!

There were no negative side effects and there were increases in good bacteria and enzymes that helped the digestive system and a decrease in a protein that has been associated with cancer and depression.

Eating bugs is clearly a great choice! Crunch!
