Louis Tomlinson, who's criticized the 2018 Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival lineup for its dearth of bands, would be wise to remember his roots, his fans have insisted.

Announced Tuesday (January 2), Coachella's 2018 installment will welcome The Weeknd, Beyoncé and Eminem as headliners in April, with SZA, Haim, Portugal. The Man, Cardi B, Miguel and many, many more as additional acts. And while the lineup is looking as good as it gets, Tomlinson took issue with the fact that so many of this year's featured acts are solo artists.

"Just seen the Coachella line up...Where the f--- are all the bands!? It’s a festival!?" he wrote. And if you thought the erstwhile One Direction member would get away with such a statement without fans forcing him to point the question at himself, you'd be wrong.

And one user hit Tomlinson with an additional reality check, replying: "There are some bands on the line up. Here are some of the ones that I love that are on it: PVRIS, LANY, The Regrettes, Greta Van Fleet, Nothing But Thieves, First Aid Kit (they might be more of a duo but idk). Check them out cause they’re all amazing!"

Passes to the series of shows go on sale Friday, January 5, at 12:00 PM PST at coachella.com.
