Over the weekend, the thought of raising children in this day and age crossed my mind.

One question I always ask myself is how many children I'd like to have once I get married.  All of my friends are married and have anywhere from one to five kids!  The friends who're juggling multiple children definitely have their hands full and we generally talk about crazy schedules.  I think you can relate!

More recently, I've noticed a shift in our conversations to how they are either going to afford taking care of the kiddies they have now and why some of them have reconsidered getting pregnant again.

According to WZZM 13, my friends and I aren't the only ones thinking and talking about the future for our kids.  Birth rates are down throughout America with Michigan below the national average with 20% less deliveries since 2000.
