An odd break in happened early Wednesday morning in Cadillac, when an intruder broke into an apartment and demanded the resident smoke weed.

Fox 17 reports the victim was sleeping on his couch when a man broke into his apartment with a knife.

According to police, the intruder told the victim to smoke weed with him. The victim then waiting for the right moment, grabbed the knife, and ran to a neighbor's unit, where police were alerted.

Cadillac police found the 36-year-old suspect behind the apartment complex, apparently he had fallen down a steep hill. Police arrested the man and charged him with Resisting and Obstructing Police, Home Invasion, and a Probation Violation.
