Meet Ava – Christine’s Pet of the Week!
Ava is a 3-year-old American Stafforshire Terrier and will be the perfect addition to your family. Because she's a fun and happy girl, Ava will do great in any type of family, with or without kids. She's energetic, loves walks but can also relax and chill.
The Humane Society of West Michigan still has their I Like Big Mutts promotion going on which means adult dogs (5 months and older) who weigh 40 pounds or more are only $100 to adopt! That's $75 off the normal adoption fee. BONUS: Ava qualifies in the special! Thanks to Best Friends Animal Society for providing the grant to make this special possible.
If you've been thinking about adding a new furry friend to your family than this Saturday (8/13) is the day because its Free Adoption Day thanks to the BISSELL Pet Foundation.
BISSELL will be covering the adoption costs at Humane Society of West Michigan and at Van Buren Animal Control. The adoption will include dogs, cats, kittens but NOT puppies at both shelters.
Free adoption will be from 11a-4p at the Humane Society and 11a-3p at Van Buren Animal Control. New pet parents will also receive an Adopt Box courtsey of the Bissell Pet Foundation. The box will include things like treats, food, toys... basically anything to help make the adoption process easier for you and your pet.
On August 20th, BISSELL will have it's first ever fun run, Tails and Trails Woof Walk. The event will be held at 5pm at John Ball Zoo, and of course you can bring your dog! This walk is for fun and won't be timed, and activities are also scheduled for after the race. You can get more information, including purchasing tickets, here.
