Meet Butterfly – Christine’s Pet of the Week!

Butterfly is an 8-year-old domestic short-haired cat. She can be a little shy at first but once she settles in a home and gets used to being around the same few people, she will warm up to you. She's best described as a couch potato and needs a place where she can decompress and be herself. If you're in the market for a no-pressure relationship, Butterfly is perfect for you. Plus, she's super cute.

& TODAY is National Check the Chip Day - This is a reminder to get your pets micro-chipped if they aren't already. And if they are, make sure all of your information is up-to-date which includes your address. Unfortunately, chips can fall out so it is important to regularly check your animals to make sure it is still there. It can also move from the back of the neck to the shoulder or front leg, so make sure to check those areas as well!

This Saturday, 8/18 the Humane Society of West Michigan is "clearing the shelters." From 11a-4p there will be pet adoption specials on all the animals (except puppies).
