Wednesday is my favorite day of the week. Not only does it mark the halfway point of the work week, but it's the day every week that I get to meet Wendy's Pet Of The Week! This week, Jen from the Humane Society of West Michigan brought Gizmo in to visit!

Gizmo is a one-year-old terrier mix, and is just as sweet as can be. Jen suggested that Gizmo would be great in a home with older children (he's not the biggest fans of the little ones), and also needs to be in a home where he'll get a lot of exercise. He's a curious little guy, too! He loved walking around and sniffing the smells around our studios. He's just as happy, though, to sit on the couch and cuddle with you.

As a reminder, the Humane Society is still offering cats and kittens for only $5 this month (remember Pepper and Avocado from a couple of weeks ago?). While they had a very successful adoption event a few weeks ago and adopted out over 94 pets, those vacated spaces quickly filled up and there are tons of animals at the Humane Society who still are looking for their forever homes.

They could always use your help or contribution, or both.  If you can’t adopt, possibly you could donate the help support the Humane Society, or donate your time to assist in the care of all of the pets available.

You’ll find information and links to pet adoption, donation and volunteer opportunities on the Humane Society's Website or by calling them at 616-453-8900.
